Ingredients
-
2 tbsp - Lane’s Spicy Chili Mix
-
Lane’s Lil Spicy BBQ Sauce
-
1 lb Ground beef
-
¼ Diced yellow onion
-
8oz tomato sauce
-
1 tbsp Brown Sugar (heaping)
-
Pepper Jack Cheese (or your favorite cheese)
-
Buns (we like Brioche)
Optional Toppings
-
Drizzle of Lane’s Sorta White Sauce
-
Sliced Jalapenos
-
Slaw
-
Pickles
Directions
In a skillet brown the ground beef. Brown it to your preferred size for sloppy joe’s. We like a chunkier ground.
As the ground beef is finishing, add the diced onion to half of the skillet and let it soften for a few minutes. Drain the grease and place the skillet back on the stovetop.
Add 2 tbsp of Lane’s Spicy Chili Mix, 1 heaping tbsp of brown sugar and mix all together. Once incorporated add ¼ cup Lane’s Lil Spicy bbq sauce, and 8oz tomato sauce. Stir and let simmer for 5 minutes. Be sure to stir a couple times.
Make your sandwich with buns, meat, and pepper jack cheese. Extra topping ideas - Pickles, sliced jalapenos, slaw, or a drizzle of Lane’s Sorta White Sauce
Recipe Note
The chili packet makes 2 full servings - so zip that chili packet and save it for round 2.
If you don't want the heat, you can replace the Spicy Chili mix for the "Original" version and replace Lil Spicy bbq sauce with Lane's Kinda Sweet bbq sauce.
Also, for an extra flavor bomb, add a drizzle of Lane's Sorta White Sauce.
