Ingredients
-
Lane’s SPG
-
1lb fresh Hatch chiles, or jalapenos
-
2lb ground beef
-
pepper jack cheese, sliced
-
1 12-pack of of Hawaiian Rolls, or your favorite slider buns
-
Lane’s Ranch Seasoning
-
Half of the charred and diced Hatch peppers
-
½ cup of mayo
-
½ cup of sour cream
-
¼ to ½ cup buttermilk
Hatch Ranch Sauce
Directions
Charred Hatch Chiles
Preheat grill to high heat.
Roast peppers over direct heat until charred all over, then place in a zip top bag or a air tight container for 10-15 minutes. This will make the skin come off the pepper easier.
Scrap the charred skin off of each pepper and dice finely, set aside.
Hatch Ranch Sauce
Combine all ingredients into blender or food processor and blend until smooth. Add buttermilk until desired consistency.
Chill for 10-20 minutes before serving.
Sliders
Preheat grill or griddle to medium-high heat (325-350°F).
Form ground beef into one large rectangular patty roughly 2-3 inches larger on all sides than your slider buns. Season generously with SPG on both sides.
Grill/Griddle patty for 5-6 minutes per side. After you flip, add slices of pepper jack cheese and the remaining diced hatch chiles so everything can melt together.
Slice the slider buns and add some ranch sauce to both sides, add your patty. Slice and serve.
Recipe Note
- As stated in the ingredients, you can substitute jalapenos or your favorite chiles if Hatch isn't available.
- You can also tray up the sliders, then add butter and seasoning to the top and smoke for a few minutes for more flavor!
