It doesn't get more classic than Smoked Chicken Quarters and Baked Beans. And when you do it right you get some insanely tender chicken and a flavor explosion of smokey beans. Plus, you can cook both the chicken and the beans at the same time. We recommend you place the beans on the smoker first while you're prepping your chicken.

Directions
Chicken Quarters Method
Trim any excess fat or skin from the chicken quarters
For best results, begin by brining the chicken quarters overnight or at least for 4 hours in Lane's BBQ Signature Brine. Rinse off, then pat dry.
Pull back the skin and dust our Signature rub lightly on the chicken
Return the skin and do and add a light coating of Signature rub for additional flavor and color
Set smoker at 225 and Place the chicken quarters on your smoker bone side down until it reaches 160ºF
Once the chicken reaches an internal temp of 160ºF, flip the chicken to skin side down (for crispy skin, raise your pit temp to 450º+)
Remove the chicken quarters when it reaches 180-185ºF internal temperature
For a classic BBQ flavor, glaze the quarters with Kinda Sweet sauce while the chicken is still hot (optional, you can also place the chicken back on the smoker for extra caramelization, but we only sauced it while hot and it's great)
Baked Beans Method
Mix Brown sugar, ketchup, dark molasses, hot sauce, yellow mustard, and Beans together in a aluminum tray
Cut the bacon into 1 inch squares and spread out evenly on top of beans
Dust the top of the beans with Signature rub
Smoke at 225 for 1 to 1.5 hr or until bacon becomes crispy
Recipe Note
- You could add onions and peppers to your baked beans if that's your style.
