Make The PERFECT Burger EVERY Time!

Make The PERFECT Burger EVERY Time!

There's nothing quite like a good burger. With endless combinations of cheeses, sauces and toppings, it's no wonder why burgers is a GO TO for millions. But we've all had THAT burger. You know the one that looks and tastes like a little lump of charcoal? That's not what we want. We want the kind of burger that almost makes you cuss and say hallelujah at the same. The juicy goodness that will have your friends raving about your pitmaster skills.

It's a lot easier than you think. Here's how:

Lane's BBQ PERFECT Burger

Preparation:  Setup Big Green Egg at 400 degrees (or grill of choice)

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs of high-quality ground beef (we love bacon cheddar patties from Stripling's – as in photo)
  • Lane's BBQ Brisket Rub
  • Sliced Cheese (We chose American)
  • Tomato
  • Red Onion
  • Mayo
  • EV Olive Oil
  • Instant Read Thermometer

Method:

Fired up your grill to 400 degrees. While it's warming up, prep your burger patties or use pre-prepped – we prefer 1/3 to 1/2 pound burgers. NOTE: having high-quality meat makes a BIG difference. Your local butcher shop can get you the hookup.

Spread a light amount of EV Olive Oil on both sides. Then coat both sides with our Brisket Rub. Our Brisket rub is a great companion to burgers; it doesn't change the flavor profile but enhances it (and it's all-natural, no MSG – BONUS!).

When your grill is ready, place the burgers on the grate and close the lid. First contact is really important for a burger to get that crust (without burning it). We recommend to flip it once you begin to see the juices rising to the top. After you flip it, cook it until it reaches 140 degrees for a perfect medium (we use the Thermapen for instant reads).

Optional

  • If you like melty cheese, then place your slices on the burger 10-15 degrees before it reaches your final temp
  • You can also toast your buns by spreading a little EV Olive Oil, then placing them on the hot grill for a few seconds. Watch them carefully!

That's it! Simple but effective. And it works EVERY time. Show off your cooks with #lanesbbq. Make sure to follow us on Instagram and like us on Facebook.
