To make these Fall Party Ribs, first, you trim and season spare ribs before smoking them for a rich and savory flavor. Then, you create a delicious glaze using Lane’s Kinda Sweet BBQ Sauce, maple syrup, brown sugar, and butter, enhancing the ribs further. Finally, you top them off with chopped pecans for an added crunch and enjoy the mouthwatering results.
Ingredients
-
Lane’s Maple Pecan Rub
-
½ Lane’s Kinda Sweet BBQ Sauce
-
½ Cup Maple Syrup
-
1 pack of spare ribs
-
¼ cup Brown Sugar
-
½ stick of unsalted butter
-
Optional - chopped pecans
Directions
Set smoker to 275 degrees
Trim the ribs to your preference and remove membrane if you desire. We kept the membrane on. Slice each rib as even as you can.
Season all sides of each individual rib with Lane’s Maple Pecan Rub - leave out for about 10 to 15 minutes
Place ribs meat side up and smoke until ribs reach an internal temperature of 170 - which is about 1 ½ hours
Remove from heat and place in an aluminum foil pan with Kinda Sweet bbq sauce, maple syrup, brown sugar, butter, and a light seasoning with Maple Pecan. Add more syrup or bbq sauce if needed.
Cover with foil and place back on the grill for another 45 minutes to an hour. Target internal temperature is 203 - 205
Remove from heat, toss around, and let them rest/cool. Add some chopped pecans (optional) and enjoy.
