Apple pie egg rolls are a tasty, fun twist on the classic apple pie. Instead of traditional pastry, egg roll wrappers are filled with a warm and spicy mix of diced apples, brown sugar and Lane's Apple Pie Rub. The filling is then rolled up tight into bite-sized packages that are deep-fried until crispy and golden brown. Served piping hot with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream on top, these sweet treats are sure to hit all the right notes for dessert lovers. Whether you're looking for something new and exciting to serve at your next family gathering or simply want to indulge in a deliciously crunchy snack, these apple pie egg rolls are definitely worth trying!
Ingredients
-
Lane’s Apple Pie Rub
-
5-6 Granny Smith apples
-
egg roll wrappers
-
2 Tbls butter
-
2 Tbls brown sugar
-
1 bag Kraft caramel bits, or any soft caramel candies
Directions
Core, peel, and dice Granny Smith apples.
Add 2 Tbsp of butter to a preheated saute or cast iron skillet and add apples, brown sugar, and 2 tbsp Apple Pie Rub and saute until apples are softened.
Allow mixture to cool for 15-20 minutes before adding the bag of caramel to the mixture. (Feel free to use less caramel if you would like.)
Place 1-2 Tbls of the apple mixture in the middle of an egg roll wrapper. Take a small bowl of water, wet your finger and moisten the outer edges of the egg roll wrapper. Roll diagonally and tuck in the sides before rolling fully to close the egg roll.
Fry egg rolls at 350 degrees for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oil and immediately toss in more apple pie rub.
Allow to cool for 5 minutes, then serve and enjoy!
Recipe Note
- Serve with vanilla ice cream or top with whipped cream
- Use your favorite apple or combination of apples

Hey Brian, it is in step 2. You add it in with the apples and brown sugar when sauteing them. Thx!

You dont mention pie rub in the description. Looks like you used cinnamon and sugar for the apple pie egg rolls
